Joy was the exclusive opening songstress for Congressman & Leader of the Democratic Caucus, Hakeem Jeffries for 2 years.

She sung for New York’s Attorney General, Leticia James, in East Hampton.

Valentines Day 2021, Joy returned to LongHouse Reserve, (a 16 acre reserve & sculpture garden featuring pieces from Yoko Ono & Willem de Kooning) where she opened the Winter Benefit Concert, featuring other artists like Rufus Wainwright, Bill T. Jones, & SNL guitarist G.E. Smith. WHITEHOT Magazine regarded the production among some of February’s ”..Best Art in the World”.

2019 & 2020 Joy appeared at Fashion Week, also performing at the Vogue CDFA awards as a singing model for Pyer Moss.

She made the cover of the Vogue Magazine article that praised designer Kerby Jean-Raymond for being a black cultural activist through his work; using live music & musicians, especially of color, in his runway expositions.


Joy is a writing member of ASCAP & through them became a Guitar Instructor, & eventually Director of Music for two Fresh Air Fund Camps in upstate NY.
